The Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) of Elon Musk works together with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and has gained access to payment and contractory systems looking for potential fraud, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

CMS supervises Medicare, the health coverage program for older and disabled Americans and Medicaid, for registrations with a lower income, which offers insurance for more than 140 million American citizens.

With reference to one of the people who are familiar with Doge’s work at CMS, WSJ reported that Musk’s allies have not gained access to databases that contain identifiable personal health information from Medicare or Medicaid -benefit.
The new campaign comes only a few days after DOGE had focused on USAID, which led to the dismissal of 50 top officials and the organization that is being folded in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
