Man United Defender Lisandro Martinez faces a “difficult time” after launching against Crystal Palace in Premier LeagueManager Ruben Amorim says.
Argentina International Martinez, who lost more than six months since the 2023/24 campaign, gathered his knee with apparent anxiety during a long delay late United’s 2-0 defeat In Old Trafford.
“We’ll see the next few days, but I think it’s a serious situation,” Amorim told Sky Sports. “He felt it and when you are a player, you know when something is serious.
“It’s not just a great player but a strong character in the dressing room. We’re here to help him at this difficult time, as he helped us.”

Witness He has suffered a series of problems since he arrived for an initial £ 48.5 million from Ajax in July 2022, including a metatarsal fracture at the end of his first season with United.
The 27 -year -old lost almost three months since mid -September 2023 with a leg injury, returning for a month before the knee issue held him for two months.
He also lost six matches at the end of former director Erik Ten Hag of the final complete campaign with a veal executive, but had played 32 times this season.
Amorim did not choose Martinez in two of the first three teams of the match after arriving at Sporting in November, but since then he has been a near -present starter.

“The result is really bad,” Amorim said after overseeing a fifth defeat in six games in the league. “The show was a little better than the last games.
“We checked quite well with the transitions. We supported two goals that we can avoid and Lisandro Martinez’s injury was tough for the team.
“It is normal for fans to feel negative. It’s a harsh time for them, but football can change at some time. There will be better things.”
