Wood hits hat-trick as difficult trees embarrassed seagulls

Nottingham Forest produced an incredible screen on the city’s ground, hitting Brighton 7-0 in the Premier League.

The hosts showed no mercy, bouncing behind their recent 5-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Chris Wood was a separate artist, complying with a wonderful hat-trick to get his time in 17 goals.

His first came in the middle of the first half, with the forest already showing dominance in the Occupation and pushing Brighton into bugs.

Wood’s second and third goal reached the second half, the last penalty shoot-out after the reckless foul of TYRIQ Lampty at Morgan Gibbs-White. The wood put the spot-kick in the lower right corner, completing its hat-trick and sealing an unforgettable day for both itself and the club.

Anthony Elanga also put on a special show, providing three assists with the rhythm and direction of the brand.

His driving and precise cut put the wood for the fourth goal of the forest and continued to project Brighton’s back all over. Neco Williams added his name to the match sheet with a finish at the top of the corner, after Brighton failed to clear their lines.

Brighton, on their part, looked out of the beginning. Defense errors are plaguing their performance, with goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen lasting a nightmare afternoon.

His ugly passage late in the game gave Jota Silva his first forest, covering the route. Verbuggen’s frustration is boiling, gaining the yellow card for disagreement at the closure moments.

Despite Brighton’s efforts to return some dignity, with Rutter and O’Riley’s efforts to force the imposing sels, Forest’s defense remained tight. The SELS Save finger to refuse Curling free kick by O’Riley was a proof of its form this season, keeping its clean leaf intact.

Niki marks Forest’s biggest Premier League victory in recent history and lifts the mood significantly after their previous defeat in the cherries.

For Brighton, this heavy loss raises questions about their defense organization, especially given their strong performance earlier during the season.
