A fugitive on the FBIs 10 Most Wanted List Because, according to FBI Chicago, alleged deaths of his wife at their wedding night in Illinois were captured in Mexico more than 12 years ago.

Arnoldo Jimenez was taken into detention without incidents in Monterrey, Mexico, in connection with the death of 26-year-old Estrella Carrera 2012.

On May 13, 2012, Carrera was found dead in the bathtub of her apartment in Burbank, Illinois, less than 48 hours after her marriage to Jimenez.

Jimenez was accused of first degree murderand a state command issued for his arrest on 15 May 2012. A federal order was issued two days later after Jimenez was federally accused of illegal flight to prevent prosecution.

FBI Chicago, FBI San Antonio, FBI Legat Mexico City and the American court of the Northern District of Illinois worked together in the investigation to find Jimenez. Agents with the Fiscalía General de la República, in collaboration with the international criminal police organization, arrested him.
