Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, mayor of Indiana, who served as secretary of the transport department under former President Joe Biden, sounded in a position on social media.
“Defendant. While families are sad, Trump should lead, not lying. We put safety in first place, names close phone calls, grew air traffic controller and had zero commercial airline fatalities from millions of flights on our watch,” said Buttigieg in a message On X.
“President Trump now supervises the army and the FAA. One of his first actions was to fire and suspend part of the most important employees who helped keep our skies safe. Time for the president To show real leadership and explain what he will do to prevent this by happening again, “he added.
Buttigieg set up a presidential bid in 2019, but stopped the following year and endorsed Biden.
