“Our goal is easy tonight, to raise more money than the Dodgers spent on free agents,” the comedian joked.

“I looked like an evacuee or someone who just dared a 7-11,” Crystal joked.
Crystal explained that he entered the stage in Madison Square Garden 23 years ago to keep an advantage after 9/11. He explained that he was walking to a mourning audience and held posters up with photos of their loved ones who asked if anyone had seen them.

“When we were finally able to return to our house in the Palisades, in which I lived for 46 years, like thousands of yours, our house now looked like this,” said Crystal, before a photo of the aftermath of the Palissades Fire appeared on the screen.
