Third round of hostages released as part of the Stakes -furen Agreement of Gaza


Hamas started a third round of liberating hostages in Gaza Thursday as part of a current ceasefish -fire agreement With Israel.

Hamas handed the female Israeli soldier Agam Berger, 20, on the Red Cross during a ceremony in the heavily destroyed urban refugee camp of Jabaliya in northern Gaza. She was later transferred to the Israel Defense Forces.

Another ceremony was planned in the southern city of Khan Younis, for the destroyed house of the killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Both were attended by hundreds of people, including masked militants and spectators.

Hamas agreed to transfer three Israelis and five Thai prisoners on Thursday. In exchange, it was expected that Israel would release 110 Palestinian prisoners.

The ceasefire is aimed at the winds of the deadliest and most destructive war that has ever been fought between Israel and Hamas, whose 7 October 2023 attack in Israel caused the fighting. Despite a dispute, it held earlier this week about the order in which the hostages were released.
