Ruben Amorim admits Manchester United would be “much better” with an application and shooting Marcus Rasford, but has reiterated his attitude that the front should improve his attitude in education if he is going to have a future of Old Trafford .
Amorim was specifically asked about Rashford after the weekend victory at Fulham and said: “It’s always the same reason. The reason is the education, the way I see what a footballer should do. In training, in life and is every Day, every detail.
Speaking tonight in front of tomorrow’s Europa League game with Steaua Bucharest in Romania, the Portuguese claimed he was talking in general, though he hinted that Rashford was about to return to his plans.
He said: “The situation is the same for every player. My sentence was that I wouldn’t put any player who doesn’t give the maximum.
“I didn’t just say Marcus Rashford. We’re a better team with him, that’s clear, but until the right time I won’t change my mind.”

Rashford said he was open to a “new start” away from United, but a move failed to implement and with just over five days remaining in the January window, an agreement seems unlikely.
If it stays in the club, it might create a situation that would dominate the narrative around United for the rest of the season.
But Amorim said that a resolution is possible, but it depends on the player.
He added: “It has to change. If Rashford will change, we are more than happy to have Rashford. We need him. But we have to set standards. We wait for Marcus if he wants. He’s not staff. I have nothing against Mark but must I make the same rules for everyone, for me it’s so simple.
“We need goals. We need threat to the last third.”
