CNN employees were struck about how Swift Jim Acosta’s exit was from the network, who unfolded within a few days.
“I think we are just surprised how fast it was. It happened in a flash,” said a CNN employee Fox News Digital.
At the end of his show during the day on Tuesday at 10 am, Acosta announced his departure from the network after 18 years.
“You may have seen a few reports about me and this show and after having given all this with careful consideration, and we decided to weigh an alternative time slot that CNN offered me,” Acosta told viewers.

The veteran CNN star offered a pointed message that contained a non-so-horned wipe President Donald TrumpWith whom he founded famous during Trump’s first term.
“It is never a good time to bend for a tyrant,” Acosta said. “I have always believed that it is the task of the press to keep the power to account. I have always tried to do that here at CNN. I plan to do all that in the future.
“One last message – don’t give the lies. Do not give the fear. Hold the truth and hope. Even if you have to get out of your phone, you will record that message. I will not give to the lies. I will not give the fear.
CNN commentator Ana Navarro took his message to heart and wrote on X “I will not admit to the lies. I will not admit to the fear. I will not normalize the insanity. I will not ignore cruelty” before I thanked Acosta for his “Integrity.”
“Jim had a long, distinctive almost 20-year career at CNN, with a track record of getting up authority, for the first amendment and for our journalistic freedoms,” said a CNN spokesperson about his exit. “We want to thank him for the dedication and dedication that he has brought to his report and wish him the very best in the future.”
Acosta’s announcement After days of speculation, came about his future after he had been omitted from the updated programming schedule of CNN that was unveiled last week. The ACOsta ET program was replaced by “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown” in the latest recovery of the network.

Hours after his last CNN broadcast Acosta made his debut on substit and teased that “the Jim Acosta Show” came soon.
“To President Trump and his allies, you might think you are silent me. But guess guess,” Acosta told his enemies.
