President Donald Trump Monday evening claimed that the army entered California and ‘called in the water’, but state water officers claim that the president’s claim is incorrect.
“The army of the United States has just entered the large state of California and was turned on the water that flowed abundantly from the Pacific Northwest and beyond,” Trump wrote about Truth Social.
“The days of placing a fake environment, about the people, are over. Enjoy the water, California !!!” he added.
But the California Department of Water Resources replied that the army never entered the Golden State and that the state continues to have many water sources.

“The army did not go in California,” said the department on X. “The federal government restarted the federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days. State water supply in South California remains abundant.”
Senate Pro Tem Mike McGuire, a Democrat, also pushed back against Trump’s post.
“First, shocker, water from the Pacific Northwest does not flow to the central valley,” said McGuire on X. “Secondly, the federal water pumps were to repair. The delta did not fall in.”
