Edgar Berlanga published the next six matches he wanted after his match on March 8, which is rumored to be against the craftsman Gabriel rosado (26-17-1, 15 ko) in Puerto Rico. Rosado has not won a race for four years since 2021.
Six matches, zero opportunity?
He would probably lose all six matches Berlanga wants. This would make him difficult to fight the other five without a huge reaction from the fighters who choose to fight him.
Edgar included Jermall Charlo and the recent knockout Jaime Munguia. Even these guys would probably be very talented against the much larger Berlanga.
Interestingly, Berlanga (22-1, 17 kos) included a rematch with Canelo Alvarez as one of the six games he wants, which seems extremely unlikely without winning a high-level light heavy or cruiserweight.
Canelo will never fight Berlanga without doing anything beyond his potential, such as winning David Benavidez, David Morrell, Artur Beterbiev or Dmitry Bivol.
Berlanga allegedly re -established 193 pounds for the defeat by unanimous decision in 12 rounds by Canelo on September 14 last year. Brooklyn, New York, Berlanga looked bulky in the ring with Canello that night. Paradoxically, he managed to make 168-LB.
Being so big, he should have struggled in the light heavy. Berlanga’s decision to stay at 168 is understandable, but it is not talented enough to even beat marginal candidates in 175.
The wish list
“After my match on March 8, these are the next six matches I want without a special order.
APPLICATION FOR ME 🇵🇷🇵🇷👑👑 ”, Edgar Berlanga said to X.Jamie munguia
Jermal Charlo
Caleb
Hamzah Sheeraz
Canelo Alvarez – Revans
Diego Pacheco
Fighters like Caleb Plant and Hamzah Sheeraz would probably have the opportunity to fight Berlanga. The former IBF champion in Super Middleweight has already tried to deal with him, but without luck. If Plant was actually trying to fight him, he could ignore him and continue to play safely, waiting and hoping that Canelo would bless him with a rematch.
Berlanga has not yet won anyone to prove that he is a B -level fighter. It is not the first level with how he looked against Canelo and some of his other struggles.
Berlanga’s best wins:
– Steve Rolls
– Wandered Alexis Angulo
– Marcelo braces
– Demond Nicholson
– Jason Kuille
– Padraig McCrory
