In an exclusive interview with Us WeeklyWahlberg, 55, and McCarthy, 52, who met in 2012. and married in 2014I recalled that they attended the Emmys shortly after their wedding, where they decided to sneak in for a few minutes. As they made out in the hallway, Wahlberg heard one of Hollywood’s most distinctive voices.
“We hear that voice saying, ‘Get a room,'” Wahlberg told USA. “I was like, ‘That sounded like God’s voice.’ It was Morgan Freeman. He walked by and winked at us and we were like, “Is there a bathroom around?”
Because saying “I do” is a common occurrence at public events. McCarthy added that the duo still “like to sneak out to parties.”
“If someone has a Christmas party, we’ll find the basement bathroom, we’ll seize the moment,” she teased.

“And I think there was that one time where I was like, ‘We’ve never done it in a car,'” she added. “And they were like, ‘Well, let’s do it.’ So we drove down the street just to do it. “
Whether it’s in front of “the voice of God” or in the privacy of their own car, Wahlberg says they’re trying to “keep it spicy” a decade into their marriage.
“It’s like, treat yourself to the good ways you did when you first started falling for each other,” he explained. “It really is. That’s how you keep it alive, don’t take it for granted that it’s already been 10 years. We don’t need to do these things anymore. No, do it. Do all the things that show how much you cared in the beginning. Keep doing it the best you can. “
However, that doesn’t mean Wahlberg and McCarthy were looking for public places — or that they intended for Freeman to catch them kissing.
“We don’t want people looking at us,” McCarthy said. “We try to make sure it’s private, but it makes it more fun than your typical bedroom.”
