Premier League: Manchester City – Nottingham Forest

Match preview

Manchester City’s desperate run without a win continued against Liverpool on Sunday and they will be chasing their first win in eight games at home to Nottingham Forest.

The 2-0 defeat at Anfield means the fifth-placed Citizens are now 11 points behind the Premier League leaders, while they are just one above Wednesday’s rivals Forest who returned to winning ways by beating Ipswich 1-0 on Saturday.

Erling Haaland remains top of the goalscoring charts this season but has not scored in either of his last two games as another hot-shot striker appears in Chris Wood, who scored his ninth of the season at the weekend.

City have won both of their home games against Forest since the Tricky Trees’ return to the Premier League by an 8-0 aggregate scoreline, but with City out of the league and the Reds enjoying a superb season so far, Wednesday’s clash it could turn out very differently.
