The reception greets “perfect” Liverpool after Ipswich’s win

Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Ipswich this afternoon was essentially the “perfect performance”, according to Boss Arne Slot.

Cody Gakpo continued his nice season with a support, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah also on the Liverpool target, who maintained the six -point lead over Arsenal at the top of the table.

Jacob Greaves pulled a back slowly for Ipswich, but were outdated for much of the afternoon and now have given 10 goals in two games to see their fears of relegations grow.

Early discovery paved the way to win – reception

Szoboszlai’s early goal was critical, according to Dutchman Slot, who said: “It was sometimes now that we have played a home game I admitted a goal at the beginning of the game, but I think today is the way you want to start the Game: We were aggressive, dominant.

“For 85 minutes it was not half of us, I think. This is a threat of counterattack with the wings with (Liam) delap, but we managed to control it so well because of the amount of work we have put in.

“Finally, we’re all a little frustrated with watching (from) a corner – the first this season – but for 85 minutes it was almost a perfect performance, against a team that goes to such a low block. This is not always easy then, but The way we did it for 85 minutes was really good.

Special Praise for Szoboszlai

The reception was particularly pleased with Hungary Captain Szoboszlai, who sometimes feels under the radar.

He added: “If zoom in Dom, I think at the beginning of the season he would play this ball on Mo, which was often a great choice, because Mo can definitely score a goal.

“And now he decided to go for the target himself and scored the goal. Nice for him because, in my opinion, he is a little undervalued. Not by me, but he does not always get the credits that he is very important to her the team, because its work rate is non-Luievable.

“He just continues to run with the highest intensity, and this is so important to a team that he wants to compete for something.”

Rebuilding fears continue for Ipswich

Ipswich stays at the bottom three and in the middle of a sticky route after 6-0 thrshing from Manchester City last weekend.

Boss Kieran McKenna said to the BBC Sport: “It was another difficult game for us. There was a positivity in how we finished it. I didn’t think we were under huge pressure, but Liverpool are clinical and we didn’t defend our box pretty well. It comes at a difficult stage of the season, but we will take our lessons from it.

“Everyone comes with a plan, but when scoring a first goal like this is really difficult. Credit to my players with how they stayed in the second half.

“We’ll look at it back. We have to do some things better than in the first half. I know it’s halfway through the season, but this is the first time the four have been together from the game six. ”

There may be more bad news for Ipswich with Burns Wing Wes Burns with a bad injury.

McKenna added: “His knee is very swollen. We are not very positive.”
