Josh Brolin remembers a traumatic moment from his childhood.
The star of ‘The Goonies’ said his father, James Brolin, slaughtered his pig and served it to his son at the dinner table.
“What a fucking d—,” Josh laughed and started to explain during an interview “In Depth with Graham Bensinger.” “This story about raising pigs, this is a terrible story.”

Josh, now 56, added that he called his childhood pigs “Oink and Snort.”
“I helped raise these pigs, and one night we’re having dinner…he said, ‘Guess what you’re eating?’” Josh remembered his father saying. “‘Either grunt or snort.'”
He said James told him, “Yes… that’s what we eat, that’s who we slaughtered.”

The response from the father of four was: “Why would you tell a child that? It doesn’t make sense.”
“Why would you tell that to your child with the appearance of celebration,” he continued. “I can’t imagine saying that to my child…I can’t…it’s nowhere in my universe to say that to a child. Why would you?”
Before the Marvel actor knew he was eating his pig, he claimed it was “the best ribs” he’d “ever had.”

“But my dad is an interesting one – not to reveal too much – but my dad is an interesting guy in the sense that he’s super friendly, but there’s a stop sign,” he explained. “It’s like before you hit the red light on the highway, you’re ready to go… and the light never turns.”
Josh did not reveal how old he was at the time his father fed him his pig.

Jos and Kathryn Boyd married in September 2016 in North Carolina. They share two daughters, Westlyn Reign and Chapel Grace.
The “Dune” actor also has two other children, Trevor and Eden, from a previous marriage to actress Alice Adair.

Meanwhile, Josh’s father, James, got married Barbara Streisand in 1998 after meeting on a blind date. James was previously married to Jane Cameron Agee and Jan Smithers. He has three children; Josh, who played Thanos in several Marvel films, and Jess with Agee, and Molly, from his relationship with Smithers.
