Europa League: Manchester United – Rangers

Match preview

Manchester United are one of five teams yet to lose a game in the Europa League this season and can take a step towards qualifying for the knockout stages with victory over Rangers.

The Red Devils’ three draws and three wins see them top of the automatic places, with 12 points.

And with rivals Rangers and Premier League rivals Tottenham breathing down their necks, Ruben Amorim must outdo his players against the Scots.

It hasn’t been easy for the home side in any competition this season, but they remain favorites to win the Europa League this year.

After beating Viktoria Plzen last time out and Bodo/Glimt before that, Amorim’s men have regained some momentum but it’s never going to be an easy game against Rangers.

Despite their poor form in the league in Scotland this season, the Glasgow giants are capable of matching anyone on their day and have already been drawn with Spurs.

If he brings the energy to Old Trafford, Philippe Clement’s side have a strong chance of following in the footsteps of Wolves and Brighton and picking up three points.
