Sting postponed several concerts due to a temporary throat infection.
On Tuesday, the veteran musician’s team announced the postponement via social media, along with information about the rescheduling.
“On the advice of his doctor, Sting must leave with sincere regret due to illness cancel his performance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday and postpones his STING 3.0 concerts in Phoenix, AZ (originally scheduled for January 24) to June 1 and Wheatland, CA (originally scheduled for January 26) to May 28, as well as his performance at the Cherrytree Music The company’s 20th anniversary will now take place on May 29,” the statement said.

“Fans should hold on to their tickets for the postponed shows as they will be honored on the new dates. Sting sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused and extends its thanks to the fans for their understanding.”

Wednesday Sting thanked his fans for their concern and shared further details about his illness.
“Thank you so much for all the well wishes,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am steadily recovering from a temporary throat infection that left me unable to sing, although I look forward to resuming my performances and rescheduling shows soon. Love, Sting”

In October 2018 Sting a joint concert cancelled with Jamaican singer Shaggy, just an hour before the show was due to start in San Francisco due to health reasons. Sting issued a statement at the time saying, “I’m sorry to have to postpone tonight’s show… but I can barely talk right now. We will reschedule as soon as possible.”
