The View co-host Anna Navarro compared Snoop Dogg to a “trained seal” for performing at President Donald Trump’s inauguration festivities.
In the days before Trump inaugurated on Mondayhis supporters celebrated this at various events in the country’s capital. One celebration was the Crypto Ball, which was hosted by incoming White House AI and “Crypto Czar” David Sacks, with a performance by Snoop Dogg.
“I think what really put Snoop in the spotlight is because of the things Snoop Dogg said 10 days before the inauguration in 2017,” Navarro said. “And so look, if you were against Trump in 2017 and stood up, but you were there now, if you spoke out against Trump on January 7, 2021, but you were there now, applauding him like a trained seal… Donald Trump has not changed. You’ve changed.”

The View co-host Ana Navarro criticized Snoop Dogg for going against his past convictions against Donald Trump.

In January 2017, the rapper posted a video in which he threatened to “roast the f–k” of every “Uncle Tom an—a” who performed for Trump’s inauguration at the time. He also made a video of Trump being assassinated and suggested that calls to make America “great again” are a reference to a period of segregation.
Earlier, co-host Sunny Hostin played a clip of former Clinton White House aide Keith Boykin criticizing artists who performed at Trump’s inauguration. He argued that Trump had “attacked black people” during his time in office and suggested that they would “dishonor those people if you started performing for this man.”
Hostin argued that Boykin’s comments were “very important,” and said Americans need to remember who Trump really is.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin took issue with artists being targeted for simply performing at a political event.

“I’m not coming for the artists. It’s the same feeling I had about Carrie Underwood. I think people see it as part of the American tradition to be a part of this. They can make statements if they want to clarify their views are.” about Trump, I don’t like coming for the artists,” she said. “I think if you feel like people should boycott Donald Trump, which I don’t agree with, I would go to the politicians.”
