Stephen Weber and Tim Daly they don’t play TV brothers anymore, but Weber would happily reunite with his ex Wings costar of Chicago Med.
Weber – who plays Dr. Dean Archer on the NBC drama — already has an idea of a Chicago with a storyline that would be both amusing and embarrassing for Daly, 68.
“It would be great if he came in as himself,” Weber, 63, exclusively said Us Weekly of Daly while promoting season 10 of Chicago Med.
The actor teased that in his dream scenario, Daley “suddenly ends up in Chicago and I have to operate on him. And he goes on to say “God, you remind me of someone,” hinting at their past relationship.
Webber joked that whoever plays Daly is hypothetical with episode, his character, Dr. Archer, will “have to do some uncomfortable surgery on him, like a colonoscopy.”
The One Chicago star noted, “It would be huge” to have Daly join the medical drama, noting that they haven’t discussed the possibility yet.
Webber and Daley previously played brothers Brian Michael Hackett and Joe Montgomery Hackett, respectively, on Wings.
The comedy ran for eight seasons – from 1990 to 1997. — and centered around Brian and Joe as they tried to run an airline on the New England island of Nantucket. The cast is also included Crystal Bernard, David Schramm, Rebecca Shull, Tony Shaloub and Thomas Hayden Church.
Webber previously revealed there was a “slim” chance he and Daley would reunite for Wings getting together in front of the camera. “We’re everywhere, so if society really demands it (then maybe),” he teased during a March 2020 appearance. The conversation.
Weber explained at the time that he was just “so grateful” to still be a part of the acting industry. “If we’re never going to have some kind of reboot, that’s fine. We have put on a good show and people are loving it,” he added.
While Weber said us that he’s all-in on Daly, who pops up Chicago Med at one point he said there’s a lot more to look forward to as season 10 continues.
“There are more nuanced aspects to his staying,” Weber said of Archer’s decision to stay in the ER after successfully saving Sharon Goodwin’s illness (S. Epatha Merkerson) life during the midseason premiere earlier this month.

(Previously, Archer slipped his resignation letter under Goodwin’s door during the mid-season finale in the fall of 2024. (He didn’t know at the time that Goodwin had been stabbed by a stalker in her office and was fighting to stay alive.)
“This incident really affects him and affects him emotionally down the line,” Weber said, referring to Goodwin, who nearly died on his operating table.
He added that while Archer’s job is secure for now, he will have “some surprises ahead” in his personal life.

Weber said us that Archer “relationship” with fellow doctor Hannah Asher (Jesse Schramm) will also be a large part of the remaining episodes of season 10.
He called Archer a “fatherly or brotherly” figure to Hannah. “There’s something there that he’s not used to, but he hasn’t … really experienced what he’s experiencing with her,” Weber shares.
He concluded that the relationship between Archer and Asher is complicated, especially now that Asher is romantically involved with Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell). “He wants her to be happy, but he also feels kind of protective of her,” Weber revealed.
