Julia Stiles is known as a former teen movie queen – and perhaps her most famous character is Kat Stratford from 10 things i hate about you.

The smart, strong-willed feminist from high school always spoke her mind and tried to avoid what others thought of her in the process. Styles, 43, believes he would do the same today.

When you remember what it was like to work with Ledger – who died aged 28 on January 22, 2008 after an accidental drug overdose — Styles said the Oscar winner was “such a bright light.

“He was such an energetic, kind force. He was very magnetic, very charismatic and we all had a great time working on this film,” she said Vogue. “I’m really grateful that you were so kind to me. For my first experience as a lead in a major studio film, and especially in romantic situations, you have to really feel comfortable with the person you’re acting against, and he made me feel very comfortable.”
