Radio host Charlamagne tha God and comedian Andrew Schulz scaled back a number of democratic stories in their podcast ‘Brilliant Idiots’ on Saturday.

Charlemagne and Schulz opened the performance with a debate over who deserved credit for securing the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, newly elected President Donald Trump or President Joe Biden. The radio host disputed his friend Chris Morrow’s claim that Biden was the person responsible for securing the ceasefire.

“Until smart Democrats like Chris start having honest conversations about the party and what they do, nothing will change,” Charlamagne said. Referring to Trump’s “hell to pay” message to Hamas over the release of the Israeli hostages before his inauguration on January 20, Charlamagne said: “The moment Trump said that, the talks started to accelerate. And I mean Israeli TV says the same thing.”

The latest ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas was announced this Wednesday, freeing 33 hostages by Hamas for six weeks in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians currently imprisoned by Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Biden and Trump for their role in advancing the negotiations. Netanyahu thanked Biden for his efforts and praised Trump’s assertion that Gaza should never again become a “haven for terrorism.”

Charlamagne expressed his disappointment with Democrats after seeing viral videos of former President Barack Obama and Trump talking to each other on former Funeral of President Jimmy Carter last week.

“I’m sure everyone has seen the Barack Obama video Donald Trump completely cozy, cozy, Barack Obama shows his teeth. This is the reason I don’t like that,” Charlamagne said, adding, “I’ve been alive for 46 years. I have never heard people refer to a political opponent or compare them to Hitler. Never said, never heard, never heard them being called a fascist.”

Schulz then jumped in and asked, “But why are they all hanging around and arguing with Hitler?” I don’t understand.’

“That’s my point,” Charlamagne said, adding, “My point is, if you want to have that rhetoric, you have to keep the same energy.”

Charlamagne continued to attack Obama for being friends with Trump, saying, “You said this man was a threat to democracy. Right? You said these things. You are the last true leader of the Democratic Party. Just tell me if that’s okay. political point of view: why should I, as I said last week, why should I believe anything that comes out of the mouths of the Democrats?

The radio host said he has “never called Donald Trump a fascist based on what I’ve heard from Democrats. I said that because of the things I heard coming out of Donald Trump’s mouth. But guess what? I don’t even know if I don’t believe it anymore,” adding, “But only because of how they are, only because of how they behave.”

“Exactly, they lied to you,” Schulz replied.
