“She’s enjoying being alone and being herself,” a source exclusively shares in the latest issue of Us Weeklyfour months after the 55-year-old Lopez and Affleck’s marriage ended. (Lopez and Affleck later settled their divorce on Jan. 6, according to documents obtained by us.)
The insider adds that Lopez, who was recently spotted reuniting with Affleck, 52, and his 12-year-old son Samuel, has no regrets. (Affleck shares Samuel, Violet, 19, and Seraphina, 16, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Lopez, for her part, is the mother of 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, with whom she shares her ex-husband Mark Anthony.)
“She was very much in love with Ben, but sometimes love isn’t enough,” the source shared. “Things worked out for the best and as they were supposed to.”
For now, the actress is “having fun” while “working on some big movie projects and enjoying showing off how amazing she looks.”
Before Lopez and Affleck officially called it quits, the two collaborated the movie Unstoppable. While Affleck is producing the film through his and longtime friend Matt Damon’s production company, Artists Equity, Lopez stars as one of the actors on the big screen.

The movie premiere was supposed to take place on January 7, but was canceled at the last minute due to the wildfires in Los Angeles that started earlier this month.
“As much as we’ve been looking forward to celebrating this wonderful and inspiring film with you, safety is our first priority,” an Amazon representative said in a statement to us at that time. “We encourage everyone to watch Unstoppable on Prime Video, which will be available globally on January 16. Thank you for your understanding and please take care.”
After tens of thousands of local residents were forced to evacuate, several celebrities — including Lopez — stepped up to relief efforts. (Lopez also canceled several scheduled media appearances.)
On Monday, January 15, the A List took to their Instagram story to share their gratitude for Lopez’s clothing donation. While calling the donations “generous” and “beautiful,” the company said it was “extremely grateful” for Lopez’s contribution.
