In the 12th over of the Melbourne Renegades’ chase in Melbourne, Brisbane Heat bowler Spencer Johnson smashed two batters with magical deliveries. Johnson dismissed Oliver Pick for 19 runs and Tim Seifert for a golden duck in sheer beauty at Melbourne’s Docklands Stadium.

In the second delivery of the 12th over, Spencer Johnson, who had already stepped up after Pick’s removal, bowled full and straight on the stumps, and Oliver Pick tried to step back and play a big shot but missed completely. The zing bails are on and Peake had to return after scoring 19 off 21 balls in the BBL 2024-25 clash on Saturday.
But it was the dismissal of New Zealand striker Tim Seifert that left Johnson in awe. In the third ball of the same over, Spencer Johnson bowled a perfect yorker aimed at the base of the stumps, and that was too good for the new batter, Seifert. Tim Seifert failed to get his bat down in time and was clear for a golden duck.

After being named man of the match, Jake Fraser-McGurk said: “Delighted with the way we performed today. Everyone contributed today, and hopefully some results will help. I just wanted to start, give the bowlers an early charge. Cricket is a game where you can have a terrible day but you are always just two shots away from turning things around.
