Southern Charm’s Venita Aspen claims that JT Thomas had a secret girlfriend

Come on Aspen spills the sweet tea for his romance with Jarrett “JT” Thomas — and according to her, it didn’t end well.

“I was also excited to come (this season) with my best friend JT. It was fun,” Venita said Southern charm season 10 thursday january 16 episode of Access Hollywoodis “Housewives night cap” podcast.

She recalls: “In the summer we became fat as thieves. I was ready. Then boom – everything collapsed in front of me.

The Southern charm star explained that she and JT were dating at the time the show’s trailer dropped in October 2024, but their romance soon went off the rails.

When asked if JT was “ghosting her,” Venita replied, “No, he appeared with a girlfriend on Instagram.”

JT went Official Instagram with Ali Pereles in November 2024, captioning a series of cuddly photos of the couple “A long time ago 💟.”

Until Venita went into more detail about JT’s new novelshe said it had been eight weeks since they last spoke.

“I think we need to get him to show up and get him to talk. Because I have no idea (what happened),” she said on the podcast. “It was very shocking. I think I’m still getting the hang of it.”

The fashion influencer recalls, “One day I was supposed to go to lunch with his mom and him and we were hanging out and the trailer comes down and he starts acting crazy. It falls off the face of the earth.”

Venita said, looking back, “I think he was nervous to see how he was going to be presented this year. I think his anxiety got the better of him.”

Days after debuting his new novel on social media, JT raised eyebrows again when he announced that he was “resigning” from Southern charm. He made the announcement in November 2024, shortly before the new season premiered.

“I no longer wish to be involved in any way moving forward with the TV show,” he wrote via Instagram at the time, explaining that he would not be taping the “2-3 remaining green room interviews.”

Venita, who was close with JT at the start of Season 10, said Thursday that she’s “doing her best” not to say “too much about the situation” until she’s had a chance to speak with JT.

“I want to hear what he has to say. I don’t want to dig it too much,” she said. “I know the time will come when I can pounce on him, but I can’t do it yet.”

Venita added that JT’s disappearance from her life and the show was really hard because it was “the only person who really stands by” him throughout the season.

“It put me in a position to ruin friendships that I’ve worked on for years,” she explained, noting that fans will see the consequences this season. “I ended up risking all those friendships.”

She added that “his day will come” and while JT “thinks he’s played me,” that’s not the case. “That’s the funny part because I’m still out of time,” Venita concluded. “Wait until you’re back in front of me and I can tell you my peace. In fact, you were played here, not me.”

While Venita is upset with JT for reasons of her own, her fellow co-stars are keeping her — and their own bones — to pick on him if he returns for the Season 10 reunion.

In the first part of the season, JT faced Madison LeCroy after he asked for her husband, Brett Randle, I thought they were connected on a previous trip to Jamaica.

JT also claims to have heard Austin Kroll was dating other women when he started seeing his girlfriend Audrey Pratt. JT was then accused of calling Patricia Altschul bitch which he has denied.

“He wasn’t wanted in the group anymore,” Madison, 34 exclusively speaking Us Weekly of JT in December 2024.

Taylor Ann Green said us at the time, it was “very selfish” for JT to “have a hiccup and then suddenly be released.”
