The California Highway Patrol is looking for two dirt bike riders who began a multi-city police chase Thursday afternoon involving more than a dozen other bikers.

Two riders are accused of calling on a dozen extra riders to join the chase to the other side Los Angelesvia East Los Angeles, Inglewood, Mid-City and Pico Union, according to affiliated FOX 11.

The original two suspects were listed on white and purple dirt bikesboth wore dark clothing, FOX 11 reported. Others joined in using the same color bicycles and wearing the same color clothing.

Aerial cameras followed the expedition and captured motorcyclists ATV riders doing wheelies and calling other riders on their cell phones.

Sometimes the riders rode on the wrong side of the road.

Officials have not confirmed to FOX 11 the allegations that led to the initial chase.

The chase lasted about half an hour before police called it off.

First responders in Los Angeles are still battling historic wildfires in the area.

Fox News Digital reported several unrelated crimes that occurred during and after the disaster.
