Winona Juddthe daughter Grace Pauline Kellyhas had its fair share of ups and downs over the years.

Judd welcomed Grace with her ex-husband Arch Kelly III in June 1996. The country singer revealed to Tampa Bay Times in 1997 that she “almost died” while giving birth to Grace. As Judd recovers, she and Grace form a special bond that will last for years.

However, Grace began her run-ins with the law in December 2015. She was arrested and charged with promoting the manufacture of methamphetamine, according to the Radar online. Grace eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of possession of methamphetamine. While Grace was on probation, she was arrested again in November 2016. for being a “fugitive from justice” and her probation was revoked.

After this initial arrest, Grace was arrested and released on probation several times. As Grace continued her cycle of legal troubles, her mother opened up about her daughter’s struggles.

December 2015

According to Radar onlineGrace was pulled over while parked at Walgreens because her license plate was “secured improperly” with only “one screw.” According to the outlet, an eyewitness found a plastic bag discarded from the passenger side of Grace’s vehicle and turned it over to detectives. The bag contained a can of pseudoephedrine and a receipt showing a purchase of Coleman fuel, which are ingredients for making methamphetamine.

After authorities reviewed the pharmacy’s security footage, they identified Grace as the buyer. She was arrested and charged with promoting the manufacture of methamphetamine, a felony.

May 2016

Five months after her arrest, Grace pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of possession of methamphetamine, a felony.

November 2016

Grace was arrested in Alabama as a “fugitive from justice” and her probation was revoked.

May 2017

A year after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine, Grace eventually pleaded guilty to manufacture, delivery, sale and possession with intent of methamphetamine. She was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in prison. She was also ordered by a judge in Tennessee to pay $3,092.50 in fines.

However, Grace was released from prison a month later so she could finish her sentence while receiving substance abuse treatment from a court-ordered program.

June 2018

Us Weekly confirmed that Grace was sentenced to eight years in prison for violating his probation after she left the rehab facility before completing the program.

November 2019

One year into her eight-year sentence, Grace was released from prison and granted parole.

April 2020

Grace was arrested again for a probation violation related to her 2016 meth case.

April 2021

After being granted parole, Grace was ordered to report to the Murfreesboro Probation and Parole Office. She had a list of post-release conditions, including substance abuse treatment, referral for substance abuse follow-up care, and random drug screenings, of The sun.

Four months later, Grace was arrested on a parole violation and sentenced to prison again. Its expected release date was set for March 16, 2024.

April 2022

Grace welcomed daughter Kalia. The sun announced that Grace was pregnant while in prison, and a judge granted her temporary leave due to her pregnancy.

Winona announced she became a grandmother the same month she lost her mother Naomi Judd.

“I know that in order to be a healthier grandparent to my firstborn granddaughter, Kalia, {born April 13th, 2 weeks and 2 days before Mom passed away}, to break the cycle of addiction and family dysfunction, I must continue to show up for myself {first} and do the personal healing work,” the singer wrote via Instagram. “I know this is a program with simple steps and those steps are not easy to take at times. So I made a commitment to continue to do the ‘next right thing’ and schedule weekly meetings so that I could continue with the work at hand even when I had good days.”

May 2023

The sun reported that Grace was arrested for violating a protection and restraining order and a parole violation. She was released in October 2023.

April 2024

According to documents obtained by usGrace was arrested in Alabama after allegedly shooting drivers off the highway. She was accused of soliciting prostitutionindecent exposure and obstruction of government operations.

According to The daily newsKelly’s solicitation of prostitution charge was dropped and the indecent exposure charge was reduced to public indecency. WSFA reported that Grace pleaded guilty to public indecency and obstructing government operations. Kelly paid $200 and her sentence of 90 days in jail was suspended on the first charge, while she was jailed for 60 days on the second charge and was released in May 2024.

August 2024

Grace was arrested in Georgia and booked into the Carroll County Jail on three charges. She was released on $2,750 bail the next day, according to an arrest report obtained by the people.

Grace was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, driving with a suspended/revoked license and failure to properly use motorcycle equipment, according to the report.

October 2024

Grace was arrested in Albemarle County, Virginia after allegedly stealing a church van in Charlottesville. Daily progress reported. Ground Zero Church of the Nazarene confirmed the vehicle was stolen on a GoFundMe page.

Grace faces seven charges, including three counts of aggravated larceny. Grace was also charged with driving without a license, willful destruction of property, failure to use headlights and operating a vehicle with intent to commit a felony, people confirmed by the Albemarle County Sheriff’s Department.
