
Prince William shares a loving tribute to his wife, Princess Kate Middletonas she turns 43.
“To the most amazing wife and mother. The strength she has shown over the past year has been remarkable,” William, 42, wrote alongside a new photo shared of Kate through social media on Thursday, January 9. “George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy birthday, Catherine. we love you W.”
William’s sweet announcement about his wife comes after Kate was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer last year. In March 2024 Kate shared“I had major abdominal surgery in London in January and at the time it was thought to be non-cancerous.”
“The operation was successful, but tests after the operation revealed the presence of cancer. That is why my medical team advised me to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of this treatment,” she continued.
Kate completed his chemotherapy in September and has since started going back to work. William confirmed in November that Kate would “doing a little more” in 2025
The couple, who share sons Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 9, married in April 2011.
Last year, William reflects his difficult year after Kate and his father, King Charles IIIhave been treated for cancer.
“This has probably been the hardest year of my life,” William said at the Earthshot Prize event in November. “So trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track was really difficult.”
In December, Kate hosted her annual Christmas Together carol concert and addressed her health battle. “I didn’t know this year was going to be the year I just had,” she told the singer Paloma Faith. “The Unplanned. But I think a lot of people have had such challenging times this year.
On December 25, the Princess of Wales addressed his battle with cancer as he spoke to royal enthusiasts after the Christmas service at Sandringham.
“The number of people who have written this year has been extraordinary and I think cancer just really resonates with so many families,” Kate said, according to footage obtained by Daily Mail.
Addressing a fan who worked in an oncology ward, Kate continued: ‘People like you do all the hard work there. I am extremely grateful.”
After one woman told Kate: “We’re all behind you, never forget that,” the princess replied with a smile: “Thank you so much, (that’s) so sweet.”
