1) Solar beach umbrella

The Anker sun parasol is much more than just shade. This umbrella is part of Anker’s SOLIX series and does something quite unique. It charges your devices while you’re chilling outside. What makes it special? Perovskite solar cells that are seriously impressive. These cells are approximately 30% more powerful than traditional solar cells in bright sunlight and perform twice as well in low light. The umbrella can pump out 80 watts of power via USB-C and even has an XT-60 connection to power things like Anker’s new EverFrost electric cooler. So you can literally keep your drinks cold and charge your phone at the same time. While they haven’t announced pricing yet, expect this tech to hit stores sometime this spring or summer.

2) Wireless earbuds with a case that sticks to the back of your phone

Artronic has just unveiled Komutr, a super sleek set of wireless earbuds with a genius magnetic charging case that attaches directly to compatible phones, chargers and accessories. The charging case is just 0.47 inches thick and is designed to stick to the back of your MagSafe-compatible phone. No more searching through bags or forgetting your earphones at home. The case even has a smart flip-up lid that works as a stand for watching videos. These earbuds have a decent battery capacity, up to 10 hours of listening time per charge and a total of 30 hours if you take the charging case with you. For those without MagSafe phones, Artronic promises “customizable options,” but let’s be honest: the magnetic attachment is where the magic happens. Do you want to get your hands on this one? Put January 15 in your calendar, then pre-orders will open. The Komutr will ship in May and will cost $129. It’s not bad for a pair of earbuds that essentially become one with your phone.

3) Samsung’s new TV uses AI to serve recipes

Have you ever watched a cooking show and suddenly craved that exact dish? Well, Samsung’s got you covered with Samsung Food, a stunning TV feature that uses AI to recognize dishes on screen and serve their recipes instantly, faster than you can say ‘enjoy your meal’. The technology is not just about recipes. Samsung Food can track your grocery deliveries, create shopping lists from the contents of your refrigerator, and even suggest meal plans. Samsung calls it the “ultimate AI sous chef,” and honestly, they might be on to something. Of course, the AI won’t actually cook for you (too bad, right?). But for aspiring home cooks who get inspired by every cooking show and movie, this can be a total game changer. Just don’t blame Samsung if you spend more time watching cooking shows than actually cooking. Of course, to access this culinary magic you need a Samsung TV from 2025. Samsung Food will be available on the QN90F, QN80F and QN70F TVs.

4) Robot vacuum cleaner cleans up more than just floors

The Roborock Saros Z70 changes the game by doing what most robot vacuums can’t: intelligently deal with stray objects. When a sock or underwear falls to the floor, this smart device doesn’t just push them around or get stuck. Instead, it extends a hidden mechanical arm, which gently moves items to a designated area, keeping your space tidy and preventing cleaning interruptions. Robot vacuum cleaners have evolved from simple floor cleaners to intelligent assistants that can navigate around obstacles, handle pet hair and now even clean up lost clothes.

10) Mirumi: the cute robot who steals hearts

Mirumi is a charming clip-on robot that turns an ordinary bag into an interactive experience. This furry companion from Yukai Engineering spontaneously turns its head and mimics the curiosity of a shy child. Unlike complex AI robots, Mirumi offers pure, simple charm; it doesn’t speak, doesn’t move on its own, and doesn’t require advanced programming. When your bag moves, Mirumi peeks around; if someone approaches too quickly, he turns away in embarrassment. Priced at an affordable $70 and launching via crowdfunding in mid-2025, this little robot mascot is less about technological complexity and more about putting a smile on your face.
