Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will remain the mainstays of India’s ODI batting line-up for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 despite their disastrous tour of Australia and their prolonged poor form with the bat. However, the ODI contracts of KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja are uncertain.
It is reported by PTI that the inclusion of KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian squad, which is to be selected this weekend for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, is under consideration. But there is very little chance of them being selected in the Champions Trophy squad.

On the other hand, with Rishabh Pant likely to be the first wicket keeper, KL Rahul’s role as a backup keeper is also under red light. If Rahul does not last, the right-hander’s place as a batsman is not guaranteed for the upcoming eight-nation tournament either.
Young Indian all-rounder Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to have a strong chance of making the Indian squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, providing a left-handed option in the top four. And if Gautam Gambhir has any influence on the selections, Sanju Samson could also make the cut.
