Manchester United receive the worst grade as Liverpool great Jamie Carragher rates every Premier League team at mid-season.


Former Liverpool Defender Jamie Carragher gave Manchester United an F grade in his mid-season report. The Premier League season is almost halfway through, with clubs now gearing up for the busy festive period. Carragher gave his former club Liverpool an A.

Carragher said he would have given Arne Slot’s side an A+ had they not dropped points at home. Nottingham Forest and Fulham. Forest, managed by former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, were given an A+ by Carragher for their impressive performances this season.

Liverpool currently leads the league standings with 39 points as Chelsea and Arsenal following closely behind in second and third place with 35 and 33 points, respectively. Defending champions Manchester City received an E+, having lost six of their 17 games.

Manchester United have been extremely poor this season and currently sit 13th in the table. They sacked former manager Erik ten Hag midway through the campaign and brought in Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP. However, the Portuguese has also found it difficult in the Premier League.

Liverpool and Chelsea are separated by just four points in the Premier League table, but the Reds have a game in hand. The two teams are expected to fight for the title. Third-placed Arsenal are six points clear of the Merseyside club, having played an extra game.

Carragher also spoke about Marcus Rashford’s repeated exclusion from the squad and hinted that the latter’s future was probably over at the club. For Manchester City, Carragher said they were in desperate need of rebuilding ahead of their next campaign.
