The View co-host Sunny Hostin on Monday included January 6 on a list of the worst moments in history, alongside the Holocaust. World War II and slavery.
“You don’t go any further because January 6 was an atrocity. It was one of the worst moments in American history, and when you think about the worst moments in American history, you know, like World War II, things that happened, You know, like the Holocaust, slavery we should never forgotten, because the past becomes a prologue when you forget and erase it,” Hostin said.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former aide to President-elect Donald Trump, echoed the Democrats’ loss, noting: “Yes, democracy matters, but when you can’t pay your bills, it’s hard to care about something like that vaguely concerned. as a democracy.”
“I think the warning signs were there, and I say this with all due respect to Joe Biden. I didn’t disagree with a single word he said in there. (Washington Post) op-edbut people said we are worried about your age. He waited until August and then gave Kamala Harris this runway to run for president. All the warning signs were there,” Griffin added.

She continued: “These were the Democrats, they had the opportunity to stop Donald Trump from being inaugurated and here we are, but I hope the January 6 whitewashing ends. It wasn’t right and it never will be, no matter how many people there are. lie about it. In my opinion this was avoidable.”
Co-host Sara Haines said January 6 should be remembered and video clips of the riot should be replayed every year.
“The most important thing is to commemorate it in some way every year, not to compare it to 9/11, because again, it is not an equivalent, but there are people who are alive today, including my niece, who 9/ 11 did not know. So when you talk to someone who lived during that time, you get a visceral fear response that takes you back to that point,” Haines said.
