But hopefully that means in another 20 years I’ll be back as everyone’s favorite grandfather’s boyfriend.”

“Despite the state of the world, I feel like I’m living my best life,” he told a British magazine Stylist at that time. “I have a beautiful, dreamy family life. I have a good work-life balance and spend a lot of time with my children. I’m in that really great period of middle age where I’m old enough to have seniority and job security, but also have enough of my body to be active and do all the things I want. I’m lucky.”
As for the pair’s holiday plans, Brody revealed how they’re handling the festivities as a team.
“I don’t do it often, but I’m a good host, if I may say so myself,” he explained. “It’s usually a blur because I’m running around making sure everyone’s having a good time. But if we’re going to someone else’s, I like to think I make for a good conversation. My wife and I have a dynamic: I’ll be the one to get us there on time, but she’ll be the last to leave, long after I’ve started worrying about going home. So between us, we’re committed. We don’t just stop by for an hour: if you’ve got us, you’ve got us.”
Brody then gushes over Meester and what it’s like to watch her interact with others in the crowd.
“When you’re in public, there’s something very nice about seeing the person you’re with across the room talking to someone else,” he noted. “It’s a completely different perspective and ideally very lovely and flattering. In my case, it definitely is.”
