Cricket West Indies (CWI) revealed the program for her Bangladesh The women’s team’s upcoming tour of the West Indies, marking a major event in the cricket calendar for women’s cricket. The tour, which will take place on the picturesque island of St Kitts, will feature a series of white-ball matches aimed at enhancing the preparation of both teams for future international engagements.

The tour includes six matches, with three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a further T20 Internationals (T20Is), all hosted at the iconic Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts. ODIs are a part of it ICC Women’s Championshipmaking them crucial for both teams in their quest to qualify for the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Importance for qualification
For the West Indies, the WODI series holds special significance as they look to collect points in the ICC Women’s Championship. A strong performance here could secure automatic qualification for the World Cup, although there is still a chance through a qualifying tournament for teams that do not qualify directly.

Preparation and expectations
Both teams will have access to dedicated training sessions, scheduled in the mornings, afternoons and some evenings, to ensure they are well prepared for the matches. These sessions are crucial for the players to adapt to the conditions and for the coaches to perfect their strategies.
Bangladesh team will reach St. Kitts on January 14, giving them plenty of time to acclimatise to the local conditions before the series begins.
