President-elect Trump appoints four newest candidates to serve in the White House


President-elect Trump announced his latest staff selection Saturday evening, naming four additional people to serve in the White House in administrative and advisory roles.

Trump, who takes office less than three weeks, began by appointing Stanley E. Woodward, Jr., to serve as assistant to the president and senior advisor.

Woodward co-founded a law firm called Brand Woodward Law, LP, where he represented “numerous high-profile clients in complex, high-stakes litigation, including multiple federal jury trials,” Trump said.

“He previously worked at a multinational law firm, where his experience included representing multiple international companies in defense of alleged violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and as coordinating counsel for companies involved in nationwide federal litigation,” said the statement. read.

Trump then said that Robert Gabriel Jr. will work as a policy assistant to the president.

“Mr. Gabriel has served President Donald J. Trump in a variety of roles since his 2015 campaign for the most powerful office in the world,” the statement said. He started in Trump Tower as a policy advisor to Mr. Trump’s historic campaign.”

“Mr. Gabriel served in the West Wing as Special Assistant to the President throughout the entire first Trump administration.”

Nicholas F. Luna will serve as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for strategic implementation, the president-elect said. His role will include planning and managing the White House’s external communications.

Trump called Luna a “highly respected White House veteran and a Trump-Vance campaign warrior.”

“He previously served in the White House as presidential travel director, personal assistant to the president, assistant to the president and director of Oval Office Operations,” Trump said. “He recently served with great distinction as Director of Operations for newly elected Vice President J.D. Vance.”

Finally, Trump said William “Beau” Harrison will serve as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for operations. The statement called him a “trusted aide to the President and the First Family.”

“During President Trump’s first term, Mr. Harrison served as a liaison between operational elements of the Executive Office of the President and was charged with coordinating and executing all presidential travel, including dozens of complex international visits,” the statement said. Trump. “He has participated in and led multiple U.S. delegations around the world in countries such as North Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan, and played a critical role in planning each of the historic summits with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un .”
