Over the years, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has chosen a celebrity child to carry the awards season torch and help support the annual Golden Globe Awards.
The desired title of Miss and Mr. Golden Globe dates back to 1963, when Donna Douglas and Eva Sixx shared the honor. However, the tradition of giving the role to a famous child did not begin until 1971 Anne Archerwho became a successful actress in her own right.
To be Miss or Mr. Golden Globe – or Ambassador of the Golden Globes as amended in 2018. – includes several responsibilities in the show. During the event, the ambassador helps the presenters with the awards and escorting the winners off the stage.
While many stars have filled the role over the years, the ambassador program was discontinued in 2021.
