Justin Baldonithe lawyer of speaking out loud amid the actor’s drama with It ends with us costar Blake Lively. Confirming that Baldoni, 40, “absolutely” plans to file a countersuit against Lively, 37, Atty. Brian Friedman told NBC News Liz Kreutz in a new interview that Baldoni had no intention of coordinating a smear campaign against the actress, despite her claims to the contrary. “One hundred percent not,” Friedman said. “Justin Baldoni said from the beginning, ‘I don’t want to do anything negative towards her. I don’t want to hurt her.” Friedman previously denied Lively’s “outrageous” claims in a statement to Us Weekly after she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of their movie, which debuted last summer. Baldoni subsequently sued for $250 million New York Times for defamation regarding their reporting on Lively’s allegations. Meanwhile, Lively’s lawyer insisted in a statement to us that “nothing in (Baldoni’s) case changes anything about the allegations” she made as a spokesperson for the The Times stood by their reports.
