Karen Gillan is officially a mother to a baby girl!
The Guardians of the Galaxy The 37-year-old actress took to Instagram on Thursday, January 2 to reveal that she is welcoming her first child with husband Nick Kocher at the end of 2024
“2024 thank you for giving us Clementine 🍊,” Gillen shared alongside a series of sweet photos revealing baby Clementine for the first time. In one photo, the Scottish-born actress is seen holding her newborn, who sweetly rests his head on his mother’s shoulder. Another photo shows Kocher holding Clementine. A third photo shows the new parents holding mugs that read “Best Dad Ever” and “Best Mom Ever.”
Gillen continued in her caption: “Also per the last slide – I did a movie called ‘Let’s Have Kids’ right around the time I got pregnant in real life, so take that Daniel Day-Lewis.” The final slide of Gillen’s post shows her on the set of the film, sitting at the foot of the bed of a man about to give birth.
The former Doctor Who star debuted her baby last September during the red carpet premiere of her film, Chuck’s lifeat the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The actress wore a yellow bodycon dress and clutched her stomach as she posed for photos at the Prince of Wales Theater alongside her Chuck’s life costars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tom Hiddleston.
Gillen married Kocher in May 2022, when the couple tied the knot in secret at Castle Toward in Scotland.

“I sent him a DM on Twitter saying, ‘Hi, your tweets are really funny. I’m Karen by the way,” the Guardians of the Galaxy star shared then. “It wasn’t very interesting. I really hadn’t read his tweets.”
