Matthew Lawrence officially started chili after his divorce with Cheryl Burke.
The TLC actor and singer, whose real name is Rosonda Thomas, began seeing each other romantically in November 2022, three months after her rep told Us Weekly that they were “just friends” when they went out together in Hawaii. By New Year’s the two were “in love”.
Lawrence’s relationship with Chile comes next Burke announced her separation from him in February 2022. Their divorce papers have listed their separation date as January 7, 2022.
Burke, who cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, later claimed Lawrence was “cruel” from forcing them to go to court for custody of their dog Isabella.
As Lawrence and Chili became Instagram official on New Year’s Eve 2022, Burke gave her followers an update on how he’s doing after a rough year.
“I’ve been through a year that did everything it could to try and break me, and there were many times I thought I was going to break, but here I AM,” the dancer wrote on Dec. 31. “2022 has been the most ups, downs and heartbreak year (to be honest) I’ve ever experienced, but I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am today without these life experiences… I can’t wait to moved on, no longer defined by my past and SO ready to start the next chapter of my life. 2023, LET’S SHOW THEM HOW IT’S DONE!”
