The 51-year-old actress took aim at followers who made unsolicited comments about how she looked via a recent, since-deleted Instagram post.
“This isn’t a criticism, but I think you’ve lost too much weight lately,” one follower commented on Tuesday, December 31.
An unimpressed Beckinsale hit back at the comment, describing the opinion as “unnecessary”.
“If it’s not a criticism, it’s a passive aggressive, completely unnecessary opinion from someone I don’t know, who knows nothing about my circumstances,” she fumed. “So the next time you feel like commenting on someone’s body, I suggest you keep it to yourself.”
Other comments on the post also generated backslapping from Canary black star.
“Putting on a little weight (sic) doesn’t hurt,” wrote another commenter, to which Beckinsale responded, “Not all of us want boobs like yours.”
Beckinsale also didn’t hold back when someone else wrote, “Esta muy delgada. todo bien el casa?” (translated as “She is very weak. Is everything okay at home?”). She replied: “Everything is absolutely great. is — off.’
Yet another person endured Beckinsale’s wrath when asked: “What happened to K.beckinsale?”
The actress replied: “She’s dead. So please send donations and flowers to @refugecharity and I’m canceling Happy New Years. Happy New Year to everyone but you.”

Beckinsale is not the first time remained unimpressed by the body shamers commented on her weight and appearance.
Beckinsale came out against a troll in July when they criticized her shape after the actress posted a photo of herself in a swimsuit on Instagram.
“Go do some squats, I think your ass ran away,” the troll wrote.
The Underworld star didn’t hold back in her response to the troll and shared insight into what contributed to the her rapid weight loss.
“I was watching my stepfather dies quite shockingly, my mom has stage 4 cancer and I lost weight pretty quickly from stress and grief,” she wrote.
She went on to reveal that she spent “six weeks” in hospital after her grief “burned a hole in (her) oesophagus”, causing her to “vomit copious amounts of blood”.
“I’m not really concerned about what you think of my ass,” she concluded.
Beckinsale’s second father, a director Roy Battersby, died aged 87 in January 2024 from a short illness. At the time, she shared an obituary for him through her Instagram story and confirmed his death.
“It is with great sadness that the family of film and television director Roy Battersby announce the news of his recent death following a short illness,” the statement said. “He passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024. in Los Angeles, surrounded by his family, aged 87. The funeral will take place in London, details to follow.’
