Judi Dench revealed that her pet parrot calls her a “slut”.

The Oscar winner, 89, shared her African gray parrot Sweetie’s name for her in an interview with the British Sunday Times Posted on Sunday, December 1st.

“We just had a long conversation. You don’t have to ask what she says. She’s like, ‘You’re a slut,’ ‘You’re a slob,’” Dench told the outlet.

“She said ‘Boris Johnson’ but she didn’t get it from me,” she added, referring to the former British prime minister. “She’s listening to the radio. God, she’s funny. She is very, very funny. Everyone should have a parrot or myna bird. Their voices are absolutely amazing.”

Dench, best known for her roles in James Bond movies starring Daniel Craig, Shakespeare in Love, Mrs. Brown and more, I spoke with times to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 9.

“You just get a little nervous when everybody’s saying 90. I don’t want to think about 90 too much, I’ll be thinking about (turning) 29,” she said.

“I think you’re lucky to be 90,” Dench continued. “My two great, great friends, Barbara Lee-Hunt and Maggie Smiththey’ve just dropped the branch in the last four weeks or so and that’s not good. I can at least get from A to B and walk around and, by God, I have a lot to be thankful for.”

Filming for nearly seven decades, Dench slowed her career in recent years due to her failing eyesight. Dench first revealed in 2012 that she had been diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration.

“It’s disconcerting when you’ve had pretty good hearing all your life. If your eyes give in and your ears give out, I shudder to think what will happen next. Never mind, onward and upward,” Dench told the Sunday Times.

Coming February 2023 in the United Kingdom The Graham Norton Show, Dench said her eyesight was deteriorating it made reading and memorizing scripts difficult.

“It became impossible,” said the actress. “And since I have a photographic memory, I need to find a machine that not only teaches me my lines, but also tells me where they appear on the page.”

The Cats an actress she went on to say that she previously had no trouble learning entire scripts quickly. “I used to find it very easy to learn lines and remember them,” recalls the Briton. “I can do anything Twelfth Night right now.”
