President Donald Trump revealed his phone With the American hockey team prior to the high-stakes 4 countries face-off final vs. Canada on Thursday.
Trump posted images of the phone call on a video on X, where a motivation message was unveiled way only Trump can.

“You are really talented. I have a lot of respect for hockey players. I am a hockey fan. I love hockey,” Trump began.
Coaches and players were seen smiling, but kept stoic expressions, as the president spoke.
“The talent, the skill you have is crazy. And just go outside and have a good time tonight and I just want to wish you good luck. You really are a skill group of people,” Trump continued. “It’s an honor to talk to you. And go there, and there is no pressure. ”
The players succeeded a slight grinning after the “not a pressure” line from Trump.
In the end, Trump left with his final message.
“You just go outside and you have a good time. You are going to win and we love America. We love you. We look tonight. Bring it home!” Trump concluded.
The commitment to Thursday’s game was increased in the midst of physical hostility between the teams during the tournament and the geopolitical tension between the two countries in recent weeks.
It started on February 13 when Canada fans in Montreal held the American national anthem. The tension came from President Donald Trump’s recent threats to give rates about Canada, while it also suggests that the country should become the 51st state of America.

At the opening Puck Drop, Matthew Tkachuk of the US and Canada Brandon Hagel I didn’t wait to drop the gloves. Only two seconds later Matthew’s brother, Brady, went to toe to Sam Bennett. Then a scrap with just about everyone broke out and JT Miller and Colton Parayko came in their own fight.
The US won that game, 3-1.
The Canadian national anthem was then booed in TD Garden in Boston for a game of 4 nations between Canada and Finland. Canada won that game to achieve a matchup against the US in the championship game.
The general manager of the American men’s team, Bill Guerin, appeared on “America’s newsroom” On Monday and it was asked if the fight was inflamed because of the Booing, earlier heat between players or the political struggle between the US and Canada. Guerin said he thought it was all the above.

“I think a bit of everything. Canada-us is a huge rivalry in hockey,” he said. “I think there was a bit of a political flare about it. It’s just the time we are in. I think our boys used that as inspiration. If you better get it from you, then you’re in trouble. But I really think the players used it as inspiration. “
Guerin even argued for Trump to come to Boston to watch the game, but the president could not make it.
The telephone conversation from Trump, however, led shopping of gratitude from several players on Thursday, including JT Miller, Brock Nelson and Matt Boldy, prior to the game.
