As fall turns to winter, network television goes on hiatus — leaving fans to grapple with some big challenges for the small screen’s biggest shows until the new year.
Warning: Spoilers below from the fall finales of several different TV series.
This was the case for Chicago Medwhich aired its fall finale on November 20. In the last few minutes of the episode, viewers saw a bloodied Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) run to the elevator doors, only for them to close right after Dr. Archer (Steven Weber) saw her being attacked.
Freshman Series Doctor Odysseus provided fans with a very different kind of post-Avery cliffhanger (Philip Su) revealed that her threesome with Max (Joshua Jackson) and Tristan (Sean Thiel) resulted in an unexpected pregnancy.
“I was actually quite surprised. But of course, coming from our fearless leader, Ryan MurphyI had a lot of confidence in how this would all play out,” Su said TV Insider in November. “I was actually really delighted by it because I think it’s a kind of relationship that we haven’t seen on procedural TV yet.”
Fall TV looks a little different with shows like Found, Chicago Fire and FBI: International going through casting changes. The One Chicago franchise is making headlines as several cast members across all three shows have announced their departures. Rescue HI-Surf also completed 2024 with a dose of sexual tension and drama afterwards new saviors surf (Alex Aiono) and Hina (Zoe Cypress) connected before the credits. Their steamy sex scene wasn’t the only romance highlighted in the finale, either.
