c Us WeeklyThe exclusive sneak peek of the Season 3 finale from Tuesday, December 17 on 1000-Lb. Best friendsScott is in the hospital about to undergo weight loss surgery when his heart rate starts racing.
the surgeon, Dr. Charles Proctorcalmly explains to Scott that if they can’t get his pulse under control, they’ll have to cancel the operation.
“Scott, who came in today, was stressed and nervous before the surgery, which caused his heart rate to go up to 150 seconds,” Proctor said in a confessional. “We want to proceed with a lot of caution. So we’re going to go ahead and get a 12-lead EKG, and we’re also going to contact his regular cardiologist and make sure he’s comfortable with us as we move forward.”
“The worst-case scenario right now is that his heart is beating so fast that it’s starting to affect his blood pressure, making him what we call hemodynamically unstable,” Proctor continued. “If we don’t get to the bottom of what’s going on with the scarring, the heart rate, we’re going to cancel the surgery.”

Scott
TLCScott, who first came to Procter at 596 pounds, was visibly emotional over the potential setback, clutching the sides of his bed and appearing to cry.
His mother was sitting next to him doing her best to calm him down.
“Don’t overreact. relax Breathe,” she told him. “It’s your nerves, your anxiety, your ADHD.”
In a separate confessional, Scott wondered if it was really that simple.
“I’m starting to wonder, ‘Is this just nerves or is this something else that could significantly affect whether Dr. Proctor goes ahead with the surgery or not?'” he asked.
Although Scott is relatively new to the series, which mostly follows best friends At the edge, Meganand Ashley through their weight loss journeys, he has already made waves among fans and colleagues.
In the penultimate episode of the season, which aired on December 10, Ashley and Vanessa told each other that Scott was lying about his eating habits. Earlier in the season, fans called him out for being disrespectful to his mom and for fake crying on the scale.
When the gang takes a trip to the mountains together, Scott and another new cast member Tina ended in an explosive argument at the dinner table, mostly over the taste of the meatballs prepared by Scott.
